A Nigerian, Gbenga Oke working with Nigerdock FZE and a member of Society for West African Internal Audit Practitioners (SWAIAP) has emerged 2nd Global Best Internal Auditor in the just concluded Global Audit Championship organized by ARC Institute of Germany.

In his remark, according to a release, the President of SWAIAP Noble Patrick Onwura Nzechukwu stated that Gbenga came 2nd out of about 1000 contestants drawn from different countries around the globe.

The competitors made use of technology called Smart Business Game, a 4th Industrial Revolution Learning solution built on Simulation algorithm.

With Smart Business Game, learning is made easy. Task is simulated in a gamy environment that makes learning captivating and addictive. It’s like learning while doing the job but this time in a mimicked environment.

ARC Institute is one of the leading strategic think tanks in the internal audit industry. It focuses on the issues that have a significant impact on the performance of internal audit departments with a goal to improve the capability of the supported internal audit departments in a sustainable way using Serious Business Games.

Serious Business Games are training courses and at the same time animating games, which were not developed for entertainment purposes. In technologically advanced areas, such as medicine, aviation or the military, numerous Serious Business Games have already been developed for educational purposes. In the area of business training, however, they have only been introduced in recent years.

Classroom training is complex to organize and costly to deliver. Traditional e-learning courses are not engaging and have low completion and knowledge transfer rates… More organizations are using Serious Business Games to effectively teach the important soft skills that are vital for advancement.

In the context of company training, Serious Business Games offer users numerous gamification techniques for their training, which allow them to further improve the benefits gained through the courses.

Another priority in educational games is experiential learning through the player’s handling of learning objects in simulations. Serious business games offer the user the opportunity to acquire the content either independently or in cooperation or interaction within a learning and training community. This is accompanied by an intrinsic motivation to learn, since the participant is rewarded by the momentum or positive gaming experience. The possibility to provide employees with normative knowledge in the form of “knowing that”, e.g. for the execution of individual work processes and methods, as well as the simulative implementation in the form of “knowing how” for practical application, is the special strength of this form of learning.

The ARC Institute in conjunction SWAIAP supports its customers in Africa across industries with training and consulting services along a knowledge value chain. The ARC Institute is the innovation and premium umbrella brand.
The ARC Institute focuses on networking between science and practice.
The focus is on further and new development in cooperation with experts, companies and associations in order to maintain practical relevance and to develop methods, tools and concepts that can be implemented. The results, developed in dialogue with industry experts, serve as guidelines and adaptation possibilities for practice today, in order to be able to increase the overall benefit of the company on a long-term and sustainable basis.

The ARC Institute currently supports not only leading supranational institutions, but also numerous listed companies and savings banks in research, consulting and personnel development projects.
